I would like to apply for an F-5 visa in April 2023. I received my F-6 visa in April 2021
Question
Hello,
I would like to apply for an F-5 visa in April 2023. I received my F-6 visa in April 2021. I own an apartment in Korea, have a 2-year old daughter (Korean citizen), and my income is over double the average GNI. I have lived in Korea for over 10 years and previously had an F-2-7 visa.
Is it possible to acquire an F-5 visa without completing the KIIP program? (I don’t have time to do this at weekends).
Regards,
D****
Answer
hi.
To prepare for the F6 to F5 visa,
the length of stay and assets are essential,
but also the knowledge requirements (kiip ETC).
Unfortunately, for now, you need to prepare kiip.
The waiver requirement is unlikely to be applicable,
as it requires proof of a family member’s disability,
such as a serious illness.
Or, if you are over 10 years old, you only need to prepare kiip level 4 or higher.
Thank you
